Eli Ashkenazi

Eli Ashkenazi is an MA candidate at Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He is a desert resarcher, and his contribution to the ADASR project concerns the hydrology of ancient farms near Avdat.

As a student of desert studies he resides at Sede Boqer in the Negev desert and is finishing his MA thesis on ancient desert agriculture at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem. In the frame of collaboration with the ADASR project Eli provided a detailed map with photographs of an ancient agricultural farm near Avdat. The farmhouses of that farm were excavated in the frame of collaboration between the ADASR project and Sede Boqer high school. (See annual activities at the home page).
